The Chief Executive Officer will lead this young, fast-growing charity, which seeks to empower young people through sport.

Salary: Competitive (depending on experience)

Location: UK, UK travel required, including overnight stays

Clear UK driving licence required

Hours: Full-time, 30 hours/week

About the Organisation

The BoxWise Foundation (1207392) exists to work with the most disadvantaged and vulnerable young people across the UK, striving to advance them in life, to promote social inclusion for the public benefit and reduce the rates of gang violence and knife crime through sport, community and opportunity.

Boxwise delivers its leading boxing syllabus to young people across the country, working with accredited England Boxing coaches in association with a wide range of organisations and community groups to identify those who will most benefit from its programme. It also works alongside partner agencies who deliver specialist sessions on knife crime and the criminal justice system.

About the Role

As Chief Executive Officer, you will provide strategic leadership, steer organisational growth, and ensure the charity continues delivering its impactful services. Working with trustees, staff, partner organisations and service users, you will manage operations, expand partnerships, and develop innovative services.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Supporting the board and enabling good governance and management
• Leading on the development and delivery of organisational strategy
• Embodying the mission: being the figurehead and spokesperson for the Charity and the issues.
• Leading fundraising efforts, diversifying income streams, and overseeing financial planning.
• Strengthening external relationships and partnerships.
• Overseeing high-quality service delivery while driving innovation to meet evolving needs.
• Managing the growing team, developing the charity's cultural framework and lead by example.

About You

The successful candidate will be an experienced leader, with experience in public service and/or the third sector.  A passion for driving social change through sport is critical, as is experience of working successfully with partner organisations and with young people.  We are looking for someone who is a natural advocate for the charity's work, and the issues it seeks to address.  The CEO must have strong governance, management and operational expertise, and a commitment to inclusivity.
