BoxWise Foundation is a rapidly growing national charity that uses the power and values of boxing to engage, mentor and develop young people who are most at risk of exclusion, involvement in crime and poor life outcomes.

Working through a network of England Boxing affiliated clubs, schools, youth organisations and community partners, BoxWise delivers structured programmes that build confidence, resilience, discipline, wellbeing and life skills whilst creating positive pathways for young people across the UK.

Following a period of significant growth and national expansion, we are seeking an ambitious and motivated National Programme Manager to support programme quality, strategic partnership development, impact measurement and future growth across the organisation.

About the Role

Reports to: Chief Operating Officer

This is a senior national role responsible for programme quality, partnership development, impact measurement and operational growth across the BoxWise network.

Working closely with the Chief Operating Officer, delivery partners and coaches, you will help ensure that BoxWise programmes are delivered consistently to the highest standards whilst identifying opportunities to expand our reach, strengthen our partnerships and improve outcomes for young people.

You will develop and maintain relationships with Youth Offending Teams, Violence Reduction Units, Police Forces, Local Authorities, schools, trusts, foundations and community organisations. You will help establish referral pathways, support the launch of new delivery locations, undertake quality assurance visits and contribute to measuring and evidencing the impact of our work.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring BoxWise continues to deliver high quality programmes whilst supporting the organisation's ambitious plans for future growth and national expansion.

Key Responsibilities

Programme Quality & Delivery

  • Conduct quality assurance visits across BoxWise delivery venues nationwide
  • Monitor programme delivery, safeguarding compliance and participant experience
  • Support coaches and delivery partners to maintain high programme standards
  • Identify opportunities to improve programme quality, consistency and participant outcomes
  • Ensure safeguarding concerns are identified, reported and managed in accordance with BoxWise policies and procedures
  • Support programme mobilisation and implementation in new locations

Partnerships & Growth

  • Develop and maintain relationships with Youth Offending Teams, Violence Reduction Units, Police Forces, Local Authorities, schools and community organisations
  • Build and strengthen referral pathways into BoxWise programmes
  • Identify opportunities for programme growth, partnership development and expansion
  • Represent BoxWise at meetings, conferences, networking events and stakeholder forums
  • Work alongside England Boxing affiliated clubs and community partners to develop sustainable local delivery networks

Monitoring, Evaluation & Impact

  • Collect, analyse and report on programme performance and impact data
  • Produce quality assurance, impact and operational reports
  • Contribute to the development of monitoring and evaluation systems
  • Support funding applications through the provision of impact data, operational intelligence and local needs analysis
  • Help demonstrate the effectiveness and value of BoxWise programmes to funders, partners and stakeholders

Operational Support

  • Support participant registration, attendance monitoring and programme administration
  • Assist with day to day operational priorities where required
  • Contribute to organisational planning and service development activities
  • Support the delivery of strategic organisational objectives

About You

We are looking for someone who is passionate about improving outcomes for young people and capable of building productive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.

You will have:

  • Experience within youth justice, community safety, policing, education, youth services, sport for development or the voluntary sector
  • Strong partnership and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience developing and maintaining professional relationships
  • Experience working with young people and understanding the challenges they face
  • Experience collecting, analysing and reporting performance or impact data
  • Excellent organisational, communication and relationship building skills
  • The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
  • Strong attention to detail and problem solving abilities
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally
  • A commitment to the values and mission of BoxWise

Desirable Experience

  • Experience working with Youth Offending Teams, Violence Reduction Units, Police Forces or Local Authorities
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and youth intervention programmes
  • Experience in programme development, project management, quality assurance or service improvement
  • Understanding of boxing, sport for development, mentoring or community based programmes
  • Experience supporting funding applications and impact reporting
  • Knowledge of the charity sector and community based programme delivery
